Hunt Mercier | Photographer, Storyteller, Observer
I make images for those who understand loss. For those who know what it means to carry grief like a second skin. For those who see the world in shadows and silence and know that absence speaks louder than words.
My work is about everything that isn’t there—the spaces left behind, the ghosts that linger, the fractures in time. I don’t just document moments; I chase what most people turn away from. The weight of memory. The places where light and darkness collide.
I shoot because I have to. Because some stories don’t have words. Because grief, rage, and survival demand to be seen.
I am a photojournalist at heart, but my work is more than just capturing an image—it’s an excavation of emotion, a raw and unfiltered look at the world as I see it.
Whether it’s through crushed blacks, stark compositions, or the relentless pursuit of truth, my goal is to create work that lingers, unsettles, and refuses to be ignored.
This is what I do. This is who I am.
If you’re looking for polished perfection, you won’t find it here. But if you’re looking for something real—something visceral—then welcome.
Thank you!
